On the 26th and 27th of November, i+Med will be present at the next consortium meeting of the European UNLOOC project, to be held in Zaragoza. This ambitious project aims to revolutionise the testing of new drugs through the creation of organs-on-a-chip, a technology that allows human functions to be simulated in small ex vivo devices, thus reducing the need for animal experimentation.

i+Med’s participation in UNLOOC reaffirms our commitment to more ethical, sustainable and innovative science. As part of the project, our team is involved in the development of advanced bio-inks for the manufacture of synthetic skin, a key model for testing the efficacy and safety of new treatments.

During the meeting in Zaragoza, in addition to the technical follow-up sessions, a workshop will be held focusing on the different use cases of organs-on-chips, where advances, challenges and opportunities for this disruptive technology will be shared.

We remain committed to international collaboration and cutting-edge research to build a future where innovation and responsibility go hand in hand.
